Off we go

I think it's time to start chronicling the developments of my artistic endevours :)

The website is up and going... and I finally managed to post my ''WHAT A MESS'' animation on You Tube... so.. off we go!

As usual I have a million ideas to follow up with... I hope this journal will help keeping myself on track....

Right now I'm working on a new self-portait, but as usual it might get destroyed pretty soon... we'll see...

Indeed my mom had major complaints about that portrait... she even took the brush and tried to fix it at a certain point... can you believe it...??!

As for the self portraits... well, I haven't been flattering to myself, i know :) It was more about the mood than the likeness, i guess...

You also seem to have a fascination for mirrors??? (Storted) reflections of life?!?

Yup, mirrors fascinate me...
It's more of an unconscious attraction than a conceptual one... Maybe it's because mirrors mix spatial planes, what's behind comes forward, left and right are swapped... They create a virtual space where other dimensions can be explored...
And then of course there are other possibilities... maybe they fascinate me because they tease and excite my voyeristic self? :)
